Jefferson State's
First Goal: gather 1,200 signatures in Siskiyou County to put an ADVISORY SECCESSION INITIATIVE on the SISKIYOU COUNTY BALLOT IN 2009.
JEFFERSON STATE SECOND GOAL
TO collect 1 MILLION signatures to take the advisory measure statewide.  The 51 Grange Halls in Jefferson territory and those on the mailing list of www.jeffersonstate.com must do that. [We all eat, so I suggest the petitions be posted at all the grocery stores.]

Born in Hayfork, raised in McKinleyville, Humboldt Co.  As a Captain of Infantrymen, USMC, have seen action in Fallujah with three tours to Iraq. I proudly support the Sate of Jefferson.  The people deserve nothing less, and having lived the last 7 years in So Cal, I realize that freedom from the slavery of this cesspool is long overdue. Keep fighting.

The State of Jefferson lives in the hearts of the people who yearn to own their freedom, destiny and who desire autonomy from an overwhelming and tyrannical government.

Self governance and local control of our laws and resources is our main desire and aspiration.

Being born and rasied in northern California my dad and I have spoke many times on this topic, seriously and also less formal. It has also served me well in academic life writing on it and speaking to the effects it would have on the nation as a whole. However being born in redding I advocate moving the line a little further south to pick up more population and more diverse economy but hey nothings perfect.

Good ideas. Thanks, to the Chronicle, I'm now aware. But they've got to knock-off that 'folks' stuff. It makes the concept seem like a joke when it's a serious issue. The paper used the word at least three times, almost mockingly. What can I do to assist?
