State of Jefferson Citizen's Committee By-Rules

The State of Jefferson Citizen's Committee is a prestigious group of individuals who prescribe to the thoughts and ideals contained herein. Joining is made easy by agreeing to the By-rules, clicking on the "I agree" button, filling out the form and sending it in. By joining the Citizen's Committee you will be afforded all of the benefits reserved only for Committee Members.

Preamble: "The State of Jefferson Citizen's Committee" (SOJCC) is formed to be a volunteer membership that promotes the identity of the 'State of Jefferson' and the 'State of Jefferson State of Mind.' 

Rule 1) Members act individually or as a 'Committee' to promote public awareness to foster the State of Jefferson identity and spirit.

a) 'Chamber Member' is synonymous with 'Committee Member'.

Rule 2) Any method of accomplishing rule (1) is acceptable as long as the outcome reflects positively on the entire 'Committee'. We, thus, all benefit from any and all publicity.

Rule 3) We are a 'for-profit Committee' that allows financial gain for personal time and efforts invested.

Rule 4) Any member may use the term 'State of Jefferson Chamber' or 'State of Jefferson Citizen's Committee' to aid in fulfilling the purposes and goals of the SOJCC in making requests for appropriation and to aid in establishing credibility.

Rule 5) Meetings are to be held whenever and wherever circumstances allow.
a) Where two or more Committee members are gathered, said members have formed a 'Citizen's Committee Meeting'.
b) Attendees of 'Committee Meeting' can optionally appoint a leader to conduct the meeting.

Rule 6) Citizen's Committee member's 'State of Jefferson' activities are considered as dues.

Rule 7) Members will strive for positive actions and identity. Liability for negative results is the sole responsibility of the individual member.

Rule 8) Thursdays are historic days for publicity and promotion, however, any day that the State of Jefferson gets into the news is good.

Rule 9)  The state colors are green, gold and black. Attempt to coordinate designs incorporating these colors as much as possible.

Rule 10) Have as much fun with the 'State of Jefferson' 'Chamber' and 'Citizen's Committee'  as is legally possible.
